$450 million investment agreement signed [with China]

On 30 May 2007,
the Chineseprovince of Kwangsi signed an agreement with Cambodia on a plan for 4 investments amounting to $450 million. The 4 investments include:
- Development of new housing in Sihanoukville
- Construction of a new oil terminal in Sihanoukville
- Development of a potato plantation and a potato processing plant
- Construction of 16-kilometer of BOT (Build/ Operate/ Transfer) highway linking Phnom Penh city and the
Phnom Penh international airport.
These 4 investments become effective immediately upon signature of the agreement.
