Cambodia
and France have been conducting a feasibility study on electric train and
public lighting projects in Phnom Penh in order to facilitate travel of people.
This was made known during the meeting between DPM Hor Namhong and the outgoing
French Ambassador M. Christian Connan on 05 October 2012 at the MFAIC. From
July 2012, France has announced an open loan for Cambodian entrepreneurs, Koy
Kuong told reporters, adding that French investors especially those from France’s
company named EDF (Electricité de la France) aim to conduct investment
feasibility study in Cambodia in relation to electric power and hydro-electricity.
