PM Hun Sen yesterday received Mr.
Yajima Makoto, president of AEON Cambodia at Peace Palace and was invited to
attend the groundbreaking ceremony of AEON Mall on 10 December 2012. Mr. Yajima
informed PM Hun Sen of the construction project of the 4-storey mall which will
cover 100,000 m², of which 50,000 m² will be for showrooms. He further
requested the Cambodian premier permission for road maintenance and broadening
along the riverside which the company will cover 50% of the expenses. In
response, the PM called on Mr. Yajima to hold further discussion on the road
maintenance and widening issue with municipal governor and hoped that the mall
will become a tourist attraction for visitors to Cambodia. (Rasmei Kam.)
