9 Months of 2012, Construction Investment Increases over 80%

As of 3 quarters of 2012, investment in construction sector in Cambodia increased to over 83% if compared to the same period of last year, the time when there were only 1,680 construction projects, said the statistics from Ministry of Lang Management, Urban Planning and Construction, adding that the Ministry had approved roughly 1,350 construction projects amounted to around 1.8 billion USD from January to September this year. The increase was attributed to both foreign and local investments in constructions including trade buildings, houses, flats, apartments, office buildings, garment factories, hotels and restaurants and so forth.
