Bus City Trans to Start its
Transportation Services in Early 2013
Bus
City Trans, a type of bus with 25 seats, is being planned to start transporting
passengers in Phnom Penh and its outskirts so as to facilitate traffic and
reduce congestion in the beginning of 2013 after its success in recent bidding,
said Mr. Choi Dae Yong, Managing Director of Trans Choice Cambodia, adding that,
after its bidding success, City Trans Cambodia will have to cooperate with
Korea’s Busan Metropolitan City Hall, and he will act as a representative to
cooperate with Phnom Penh Municipality to get the services operated. Additionally,
Mr. Choi informed that the buses, from Korea, will be run by gas and controlled
by ICT and especially equipped with GPS. In the first phase, there will be only
70 or 80 buses available, running on some particular destinations. Customers
can use mechanical card worth 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 KHR, and this
