Customs administration
reform and modernization, though on the right track, needs further support for
sustainability, said DPM Keat Chhon at the 3rd update meeting of General
Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia with development partners on September
27. The level of customs administration reform and modernization, added Mr.
Keat Chhon, eases trading, thus determining Cambodia’s economic growth. The
customs administration of Cambodia has undergone series of reform and
modernization thanks to the supports from development agencies such as Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the International Monetary Fund
(IMF). The meeting was aimed at updating status of reform and administration
progress. (Rasmei Kam, 29 September 2012)
