Phnom Penh: Japan
has provided 76 million USD aids to Khmer Rouge Tribunal from 2005-2012, and
301 million USD grant aids to Cambodia from 2010-2012, including 139 million
USD loans. More importantly, approximately 300 Japanese companies will invest
in Cambodia, said Mr. Koy Kuong, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and International Cooperation.
H.E. Mr. Masafumi KUROKI, the
outgoing Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, met and bid farewell to DPM H.E. Hor
Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on 6
February 2013. DPM H.E. Hor Namhong also thanked Japanese government that has
provided aids on many sectors to Cambodia, especially infrastructure sector
such as roads, bridges, agricultural sectors, clean water projects as well as
Khmer Rouge Tribunal. In addition, he also welcomed the Japanese investors to
invest in Cambodia.
H.E. Mr. Masafumi KUROKI added that the number of Japanese investors in
Cambodia has increased due to stable political security as well as the good
relationship between two countries (Rasmei Kampuchea).
