Cambodia-United States Bilateral
Trade has Increased in 2012, yet Cambodia Export has Decreased

States bilateral trade has increased while Cambodia export has decreased a bit
in 2012.
According to the figure from trade
statistics for the US, bilateral trade between Cambodia and the US has
increased by 0.61%. Meanwhile, Cambodia export to the US market has decreased
by 0.83% due to the increasing of the US export to Cambodia market. In 2012,
bilateral trade relations between the two countries totally worth 2.917,8
million USD and increased by 0.61% in comparing to 2011 which totally worth only
2.900 million USD. In addition, Cambodia export to the US costing 2.691,6
million USD and the US export to Cambodia costing 226.2 million USD.
From January to December 2012,
Cambodia export to the US market has decreased by 22.8 million USD or 0.83% due
to totally worth of Cambodia export to the US costing 2.714,4 million USD in
2011. On the other hand, the US export to Cambodia in 2012 has increased by
40.6 million USD or 21.87% due to the US export to Cambodia costing 185.6 million
USD in 2011. Although Cambodia export has decreased, the US still considered as
the largest export market for Cambodia.
Cambodia exports to the US market
are the products from garment factory as well as agricultural products, and the
US exports to Cambodia are medicine, machine and some raw materials. (Rasmei
