The Government Approves L.Y.P. Group.Co., Ltd To Invest On 230 Kilovolt Power Transmission Lines



Phnom Penh: The cabinet meeting held on 10 May 2013 approved L.Y.P Group.Co., Ltd to invest in the development of power transmission lines under the build-operate-transfer (B.O.T) for 29 years contract with the amount of 92.21 million USD investment on 230 kilovolt power transmission lines Kampong Cham-Kratie, connecting from Phnom Penh to eastern province including Kompong Cham, Kratie, Steung Treng, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri province. 
In order to develop national transmission lines in compliance with the plan, the government is preparing to build sub-stations and high-tension transmission lines in three different destinations. Firstly, connect from Phnom Penh to Kompong Cham so as to build an electricity supply system base at the eastern province including Kompong Cham, Kratie and Steung Treng. Secondly, connect from Kompot province to Preah Sihanouk, sourcing electricity from a coal-fired power plant in Preah Sihanouk province. Finally, connect from Phnom Penh to Preah Sihanouk province through national road No 4 to be the Phnom Penh-Kandal-Takeo-Kompot-Preah Sihanouk circuit system will be built.
