Belarus to Build a Tractor Assembly Plant in Cambodia

Belarus is intending to set up a tractor and agricultural machinery assembly plant by 2014 because Cambodia is seen to have agricultural potential, Mr. Prima Viraly, Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus, said in a meeting held 03 October with DPM Keat Chhon, adding that the factory is not only for Cambodia but also other ASEAN and other countries as Belarus-made tractors are also well-known in many other countries. He further highlighted the plant will make contribution to the transferring of know-how from Belarus technical experts to Cambodian ones regarding tractor as well as other agricultural machinery assembly. In response, Keat Chhon cordially welcomed the investment plan. (Rasmei Kam, 06 October 2012)
